Here’s an amazing rap song.
The rapping is a amazing, and the production (by the seemingly infalible DJ Burn One) is amazing.
It is as simple as fucking that.
AMAZING ON EVERY FLIPPING LEVEL. I have had it on repeat since I heard it on SH’s blog last night. I should have shared it with you earlier and I am sorry that I didn’t. My brain doesn’t work properly right now cos it just goes, “pom pom pom pom pom pom pom pom”.
The mixtape, , can’t come soon enough, and I’ll forgive dude for using the title I was saving for my Easter mixtape if he forgives me for soaking up his flow-smartz, whihc I am pretty sure I must have by now.
Wowzers, Peaches is doing her 2001 flow. And AP’s doing some sort of MIA tribute. This ish bangeth.
Produced, mixed and engineered by me, Akira The Don. (I did that sleeve too.)
Mastered by Gaz Williams at Fliskin Manor
Big Iron features a sample of Marty Robbins’ timeless classic Big Iron, as featured on Black Mountain Radio in Fallout New Vegas.
I hadn’t heard that song since I was a little boy, and as soon as I heard it with my grown up, uber-skilled, sample hungry ears, I knew I had to flip it.
I also knew I had to get my awesome superfriends on it.
So I did.
They kil’t it.
And I flipping love it.
I hope you do too.
Big Iron is taken from the forthcoming Akira The Don mixtape, ATD25.
First comes the mixtape: ATD25.
Then comes the compilation: Living In The Future
Then comes the album: The Life Equation
The stars are aligning.
Get pumped like tyre…
Yes, yes, yes, and yes.
Rah though, me and Narst were talking just the other day about this big-ass wave of banana clip references in rap songs going on right now. What’s with that?
Bless his heart. I do wonder why the title oputs such an emphasis on his skin colour though It’s not like white rappers are anything new.
Nice to see fast raps though. Fast rap’s been coming back for a while now. Not that it ever totally left, but you know what I mean…
It also looks like, cats, in this post Lil B landscape, are the new rap accessory. MIAOW TO THAT!
(And no, darling our house isn’t big enough for a cat).
