Good day!

I say that, cos it might be. A nice man at the Amsterdam offices of my harddrive manufacturers have agreed to fast track looking into what the funk is up with my brick, and have sent a man to pick it up… so fingers crossed, people. Happy thoughts. Positive vibes. All that stuff. COME ON!

Stuff of interest today then:

This guy has taken it upon himself to detail the 40 Worst Rob Liefeld Drawings EVAH, which is funny, and on point. The thing to bear in mind with Liefeld is that he was THE BIGGEST COMIC ARTIST OF HIS GENERATION – Marvel and DC was making everybody draw like his crazy ass for years, and I have recently noticed the cancer coming back, which is terrible news after the artistic renaissance we’ve been enjoying since the late nineties.

Rob Liefeld Is Weird

I mean, look at that crap! Iesu grist! What is wrong with that guy’s hand? And his crotch? And his eyes? What’s he trying to do there? Shit down his self? Ew!Lifeld Draws Woman

Still, that aint nothin’ on this madness. Just look at this poor woman. That is some serious deformation she’s got going on. Her back is evidently broken, suggesting she’s being held together by some kind of bent metal rod. Either that or invisible wires. And look at that waist! Sweet baby jesus and the donkeys! Has Liefeld ever seen a woman?  Was he born of woman? Was she a robot? Was he created in a lab?

Evidence points to yes.

Thinking about it, I should have had a picture of Shatterstar in here to link to the next item on the agenda…

Anyway, never mind that. It is wrong to laugh at the afflicted. And speaking of which, fellow Something In Construction inmates Gay Blades are upon us, and if you’ve not heard them yet, now is your chance. Check it, this is their new single, O Shot.

In other news, Paul Craig Roberts makes a case for The War On Terror being a hoax, since no neocons have been merked.

According to US government propaganda, terrorist cells are spread throughout America, making it necessary for the government to spy on all to Americans and violate most other constitutional protections. Among President Bush’s last words as he left office was the warning that America would soon be struck again by Muslim terrorists.

If America were infected with terrorists, we would not need the government to tell us. We would know it from events. As there are no events, the US government substitutes warnings in order to keep alive the fear that causes the public to accept pointless wars, the infringement of civil liberty, national ID cards, and inconveniences and harassments when they fly.

The most obvious indication that there are no terrorist cells is that not a single neocon has been assassinated.

I do not approve of assassinations, and am ashamed of my country’s government for engaging in political assassination. The US and Israel have set a very bad example for al Qaeda to follow.

The US deals with al Qaeda and Taliban by assassinating their leaders, and Israel deals with Hamas by assassinating its leaders. It is reasonable to assume that al Qaeda would deal with the instigators and leaders of America’s wars in the Middle East in the same way.

Today every al Qaeda member is aware of the complicity of neoconservatives in the death and devastation inflicted on Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Gaza. Moreover, neocons are highly visible and are soft targets compared to Hamas and Hezbollah leaders.

Neocons have been identified in the media for years, and as everyone knows, multiple listings of their names are available online.

Neocons do not have Secret Service protection. Dreadful to contemplate, but it would be child’s play for al Qaeda to assassinate any and every neocon. Yet, neocons move around freely, a good indication that the US does not have a terrorist problem.

If, as neocons constantly allege, terrorists can smuggle nuclear weapons or dirty bombs into the US with which to wreak havoc upon our cities, terrorists can acquire weapons with which to assassinate any neocon or former government official.

Yet, the neocons, who are the Americans most hated by Muslims, remain unscathed.

lamacq300Today I woke up, bathed in the purest sunshine, to the strange sound of alien birdcreatures doing things in the chimney. Then Dr Hague made us salmon and eggs, and I reclaimed my humanity.

Right now we are sorting Gruff Rhy’s’ vocals on I Am Not Dead (Yeah!), wich I feared lost, as they were on my bouncy rubber tough drive, the neck of which had snapped, but Hague is old school, and thus handy with piers and wires. I am impressed.

Shit is sounding awesome down here. We’re working through what we’ve done, and it is all HITS.

No believe me? Go listen to Dr Steve Lamcq’s latest BBC Radio 1 show, “It’s Blitzkrieg Pop #2 – 30 records in 60 minutes: your definitive guide to the next month in indie.”

According to Dr Lamcq, I have been poised to “break through” fr three years or so, but have been “tying myself up in knots…” but no longer, say he, on the strength of In The Morning. well! You aint seen nothing yet! Word to Bachman Turner Overdrive.
