Beautiful and pathos infused fan rendering of the adult alien creature seen at the end of Prometheus, AKA cinema’s greatest disappointment.
Loads more over here, they’re having a competition.

I spent 2 days on this thing and I am most pleased by it, for tis very beautiful. Thanks to everyone that suggested people for em to fight. Some of those suggestions I took on board, as you will be able to see. Keen eyed humans should be able to spot a wealth of dastardly creatures. How many can you see? Catch them all!
A special bonus no-prize to who can tell us what legendary artwork this is based upon…
Unkillable Thunderchrist comes out NEXT WEEK. You can pre-order it right now on CD, digital, and beautiful limited edition 9″x 9″ PRIN T. Click here! I’d like to thank everyone that ordered the print before seeing the art. I hope you are happy with your decision.

Then…

Possibly too spoilery to be honest. You may wanna void.

Also should come as no surprise to learn that the Olympic mascots are in it.

Part 2′s missing for some Fox related copyright claim reason, but 1, 3, 4 and 5 are all still online and wonderful.
From Bleeding Cool:
The Alien Makers series of online documentaries by Dennis Lowe are must-watch videos for fans of the Alien series of movies, of which I’m addressing many, I’m sure.
Lowe worked on FX on the original film, as well as Legend, Labyrinth and The Empire Strikes Back, and interviewed many of his collaborators on Alien for his documentaries.
Most of the films can be streamed, or downloaded, from Lowe’s own website. Notably absent is Alien Makers 3, focusing on HR Giger and his incredible biomechanics designs.
Apparently, Giger was unhappy with the end result and requested Lowe remove it, which he did. I can’t really see what Giger would object to… but then I don’t see things quite the same way as Giger anyway. Less sticky goop and sexy pipes.
Today somebody has uploaded the 43-minute film to YouTube. I don’t know how long it will last, so you might want to get clicking now.
Incredibly detailed and speculative conversaton regarding this amazing image going on here. What the hell is that creature to the left of the giant humanoid? What’s with the religious symbolism? Is that a tear where his liver would be? Are thos elements of Giger’s Life Cycle painting in the background ARGH!
London got a screening of the first 13 minutes of Prometheus today, but those of us that weren’t invited (what the fuck, Fox?!) can always gaze in wonder at this beautifully slowed down version of the Imax trailer.
