    Emotional Literacy: Lesson 1

End of a tour… is it loss by the official definition?

The five stages of coping with dying, abbreviated DABDA, were described by Kübler-Ross in her classic book On Death and Dying in 1969. They include:

    D – Denial
    A – Anger
    B – Bargaining
    D – Depression
    A – Acceptance

The five stages of the Kübler-Ross stage model are the best-known description of the emotional and psychological responses that many people experience when faced with a loss.

The “DABDA model” has been used as a way of explaining reactions to a variety of situations to explain grief response, divorce, job losses, etc.

Also Known As: DABDA (Listed in Urban Slang Dictionary)

Example: Man, I went through dabda when she dumped me…

  • Obviously Clinically

Hey Jeres, just in response to your tour diary entry. A little inaccurate one might say :) It was stated to Akira where we were going from the outset but yes we were all a bit done in and confusion did take place. Such questions weren’t asked in the cab surely? It was Jest on the stereo mate. We’re just normal guys who were trying to be nice. Mind you your Kathy Bates and Mentalist references do make us seem more interesting:)

Hey, sorry if I offended you. Maybe it was a little bit of artistic licence. I was pretty off my face and I was gagging to go that party… If I offended you then I wholehearted apologise.

Nah it's ok. We were just a bit like waa?? That's all. You're blog is pretty damn amusing though it has to be said. Sorry about the party. Hope you guys are cool :)
