But enough filibustering, let me answer you by stating the former, sir, i was merely attempting a ‘judge for yourself’ move. However the territory has changed considerably since this portal was posted,so perhaps a few words of explanation are now required.

The site in question, Revolution Muslim, is run by and the mouthpiece for the very same handful of individuals who were threatening Parker and Stone over their depiction of the Prophet Mohammed in South Park. The link, at the time, led straight to this article:

The article is the usual mix of paranoid conspiracy theory and one sided reportage that religious fundamentalists love. Basically it’s a thinly veiled series of threats against Parker and Stone, together with a philosophy that justifies said feudal thinking, but with a scattering of apologies, stating that the article doesn’t actually endorse violence, but is merely explaining why it should happen, and how completely justified anyone who engages in said violence would be.

As an example, here’s the way it ends:

‘…we hope that the creators of South Park may read this and respond, that before sending hate mail and condemning us that we may partake in dialogue, and that the Western media’s degradation of the most blessed of men ceases. Otherwise we warn all that many reactions will not involve speech, and that defending those that insult, belittle, or degrade the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a requirement of the religion. As Osama bin Laden said with regard to the cartoons of Denmark, “If there is no check in the freedom of your words, then let your hearts be open to the freedom of our actions.”…’

See? Threats but from a ‘safe’ distance. Just noticed there’s now a comments section, but my comment didn’t make it, it appears. Bit too radical, i imagine.

Anyway, there you go, explanation over. And check this. Doesn’t matter how embarrassingly, how enormously you have failed in the past, statistically you ARE gonna fail even more spectacularly in the future. Especially if you’re one of those people who manage to decapitate yourself whilst trimming the hedge, or kills yourself testing a 9v battery with your tongue, the list is endless….
