…hmmmm, hope it doesn't go all Van Helsing. Seen the trailer for the new Clash of the Titan's yet? Looks seriously worthy of the original (so far), quite an achievement. Was kinda corralled into watching the new Sherlock Holmes film yesterday, and i was greatly relieved that it wasn't entirely the big plie of steaming poo i thought it was gonna be! It's all about Robert Downey Jnr's Holmes, as it should be, and the character's so off the wall and OTT you can't help chortling your way through it. I think i was supposed to be a comedy, wasn't it?

Any way, wasn't gonna jibber, but just saw this on imdb , concerning the oft touted Halo fim:

'When Guillermo del Toro left the running, Peter Jackson settled on the novice Neill Blomkamp for director. Blomkamp worked to exhaustion for five months preparing the project, which went as far as constructing props and costumes and producing short Halo-themed films as test footage. The project then collapsed. Jackson allowed Blomkamp a free reign in choosing a new project, which led to District 9 (2009). Although Blomkamp is still "creatively interested" in Halo, he does not wish to return to the project after working on it for so long and watching it collapse.'
