This is awesome. Behind the scenes at the BBC’s Radiophonic Workshop, and a look into how those crazy black and white sound effects people made the Dr Who theme with NO SYNTHS or computers! WOW! What an awesome time to have been alive in!

BONUS: Have a listen to the theme at a quarter speed. IT IS GORGEOUS.

    the bit with Mark Ayres and the loops starts at about 5:40ish, although the Wobulator is mentioned earlier.

    I hadn't seen this, although it's been quoted and seen bits used before.
