‘…Russell Crowe, Russell Crowe, fighting round the world
Russell Crowe Russell Crowe, noone understands,

He fights with directors, and he fights with his fans,

    Russell Crowe,
    Russell Crowe,
    Russell Crowe….’

…sung to this tune HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vFL-lcxkYk

    With apologies to South Park…

Wherever something makes me think of Russel Crowe, I think of that…

‘…the book also reveals Crowe’s initial reluctance when asked by director Ridley Scott to utter what turned out to be Gladiator’s most enduring line of dialogue: “And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.” Crowe was apparently convinced it was an overwrought sentence, but eventually persuaded to play ball following multiple takes. After the scene in question wrapped, he was said to have told Scott: “It was shit, but I’m the greatest actor in the world and I can make even shit sound good…” ‘

WAS said to have told Scott – the media world is full of half-truths, rumours and outright lies. For all we know, Crowe was sending himself up, and that line CAN easily be viewed as ‘overwrought’. Why shouldn’t he have an opinion????

…indeed, there are so many assumptions with the above statement that to do anything other than bind it firmly within quotes would have been just plain Crowe trollin'! Indeed, the media live in a very deluded place. D'ye ken Nick Davis? He's a fascinating 'authority' on the subject, complete with a web site, and some excellent books. Though slightly completely off topic, Gladiator can't hold a candle to Spartacus: Blood and Sands. Gay porn finally goes mainstream….
