Applogies for the radio silence. I am working my ass off on something significant and mental. I was up till 5 again last night, I knew it was time to go to bed when a black cat ran in the studio. I don’t own a black cat.
I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I was trying anyway most likely, what wth the swarm of helicopters that circles Don Studios 24 hours a day right now. They never warned us about that…
Rehearsals seem to be going well. There were fireworks again last night. That’s the stadium on the right. They were strobing great beams of light off the sky and playing Hey Jude pretty loud at around midnight. That weird UFO blimp thing up top hung around till 1 or so. The helicopters staright up hung around all night, and they’re still buzzing around now.
Its a year and a half since the launch of AkiraTheDon.com, officially the The Best Artist Website in the world… but as we know, the internet progresses faster than the speed of gamma rays these days, and it’s time to drag this sleek beast kicking and screaming into the FUTURE.
As you know, I’ve always collaborated with my little brother Zef in the past, but Zef is a boy no more, and now works full time for a posh design agency, and thus hasn’t the hours to dedicate to such a hervculean endeavour.
So, I am looking for a WEB GENIUS to help take The Best Artist Website In The World to the next level of amazing. If you are that web genius, or know that web genius, please get in touch, with some examples of that genius, via akirathedon at gmail dot com.
Meanwhile, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what we should be doing with this new Thing. If there’s anything at all you’d like to see on the new site, please let me know in the comments! There will be prizes for the best ones!
PAX!

PS – Here’s version 1.0, courtesy of the amazing WayBackMachine. That lil guy on the right used to float around the screen, dressed in the garb of whatever country I was in at the time. Damn shit done changed!
As you know, I do my very best to give you, my good good peoples, what it is that you require. And what a great deal of you seem to require, according to the many transmissions I receive through The Channels, is instrumental versions of my work. I cannot blame you. It is true that I put a great deal of effort into my music, that it is full of rich detail that often goes missed when focusing on the amazing raps. And I do indeed enjoy zoning to my beats minus those aforemetioned amazing and splendiferous raps. So now, dear friend, you can, like me, enjoy the wonder and bliss of the Unkillable Thunderchrist instrumental tracks on this new record: UNSPEAKABLE THUNDERCHRIST.
All songs produced by me, Akira The Don, except for Fuck You Pay Me, produced by the mighty Joseph Roberts, AKA The Peter Principle, AKA Joey2tits.
More coming soon. As ever, let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to hear.
“I Alchemy… I Alchemi… I cook, I chef, I Walter White”

So just before I woke this morning I got an email in my dream from Jimmy Savile asking if I was gonna put out Jimmy Savile Swag as a single. He said he thought it was a good idea. Without considering the implications of getting digital communication from a dead disc jockey, I responded, “you know, that is a pretty good idea… I have a video 73% completed, and it is a great song…” then my wife woke me up.
Is that what Joan Of Arc would have called A Sign?
It is certainly ADDAWOL FAWR IAWN! As my Facebook people agree:

Shout out the fine folks over at the Guardian Music Blog, who dropped my Oh! What A Glorious Thing acoustic video this morning, deeming it “irresistibly cheerful,” which is true. The thing is edging on 5000 views on Youtube right now. I suspect it will require 10,000 at least for Summer to come in UK.
Meanwhile over in The Bay, Predator Dreads is working on me and Issue’s World’s Finest video. This just came through via Twitter:
I’ve been on a similar flex these past few days, working on the Full Metal Alchemist video. I dropped a screen cap on Facebook as a caption contest the other day. here’s the winning entry:
Congratulations Bethan Bucknall, my ole school chum. Obvious is often best, ask Sosa.
