Top right baby, in the circle. That subtle shit is Don of The Day. A lot of people think its like, random photos, or old photos, or I got them qued up or some shit. NAH B. That’s Don Of The Day. so that’s ME on the DAY I post it. Idea is you’re gonna be able to see an evolution of my magnificent features over time, like a flickbook. Like, in twenty years you’ll be able to see me reaching my majesty, in a gradient fashion. Actually, in twenty yeas I’ll probably have had to upload my consciousness into some kind of Nanocloud like in Transmetropolitan or some shit, but that’s by the by. Today we, and when I say we I mean the blue blooded, funny-waving, inbreeding ROYAL WE reached Don Of The Day Number ONE HUNDRED!
PARTY!
I was all like, damn, I totally need to do something cool, then I couldn’t think of anything , and I was really busy with ATD25 anyway, and then a few hours ago my little brother’s woman took that picture of me up there texting a picture of my brothers and their girlfriends to Zef who is in Cornwall and thus couldn’t go to dinner with all his brothers and their women (apart from mine, who is in Brighton) in London, and I liked it a lot, so I thought I’d use that, as it captures me in one of my many essences, and that is partly the point. And if that sentence confused you I can only apologize, and blame my lack coherent of poetry on the fact that I’ve been mixing songs for two days straight and I have tinitis and my eyes have gone all googley. So I think that, since it’s 02:35 am, I had probably better go to bed, and maybe ride a motorcycle on the wall for half an hour, or read my Alesiter Crowley book, then have a wee sleep, because tomorrow DJ Jack Nimble is going to come round and help me mix ATD25 together with all the songs that will be back from the masterers, where they are being mastered them RIGHT NOW, in a secret mastering lab in Bristol.

Oh, Mothboy! Dearest Mothboy! Extonian prince of bass. Earliest Akira The Don collaborator. Co-author of the LP version of Liverpool. Remixer of too many Don tracks to mention. Producer of the second best (and unreleased) Crack Village song, Aliens VS Rudeboys VS Dinosaurs VS Apes (In Space). The guy I used to go and freestyle with down at the Foundry when it was full of smashed up old Amstrad computers before Old Street got trendy. The guy who put me on to Odd Future. The guy on whose every album I featured, right up until the end.
Yeah, Mothboy’s dead. Mothboy got merked. And some dude called Esjayes replaced him. But he’ll always be Mothboy to me. And I am proud to present to you, dearest reader, this excellent guest mix from Esyayes, who will forever be known to me as MOTHBOY.
ENJOY!

MEANWHILE… I am working hardcore on ATD25, which is sounding beautiful. I got people working on it in New York, San Francisco and Canada too. And y’all better sit tight by your inboxes, cos someone’s gonna be getting hit up about having won that competition, and getting on the tape.
ATD25 For The Ultimate Victory!
YES!

This song first appeared on The Guardian.
Actually, tell a lie, it first appeared on a Doncast. Remember when Chilly was on The Doncast? That was the day we recorded most of this song. (We actually performed a bit of it too, as I recall) It was supposed to be on the collaborative tape me and Chilly are making, but that is going to take some time, and I thought this song suited the ATD25 feeling, and Gonzo – who is recording a wooden hut in Big Sur right now – was cool with me letting it out there in that fashion.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT!
Meanwhile, I am working my pert pink ass of on ATD25, which is coming next week.
PAX!
http://bit.ly/weathermen is the bit.ly adress to give to all your buddies.
And this is the Youtube listening post. Check the awesome intro:
It’s my buddy Blonde Jeremy Deacon’s birthday!
That’s him up there.
I am going to go and have a drink with him.
(No not the little one, that’s his SON and he’s TOO SMALL FOR PUBS!)
I might even play him that song I was going to give you today! FOR HIS BIRTHDAY LIKE!
Yeah, about that… I have recently taken on a PR company, and my leading PR man has asked if I wouldn’t mind holding off on it until Monday afternoon so he can Work It, as they say. I even asked my Twitter and Facebook people if they minded, cos I am considerate.
And anyway, what’s the point of hiring proffesionals if one isn’t going to let them do their jobs?
So I hope you’re not too disappointed, and can keep yourselves aurally entertained until Monday. There is a lot of stuff in the music section, I bet there’s even something some of you haven’t heard yet.
OH GOD THOUGH, this new song is so ace, I am listening to it right now and have had on loop for most of the afternoon.
I also did a very beautiful sleeve for it, which took me most of the day, and it is, as I envisaged, by far and away the best of the ATD25 sleeves so far.
YES!
So, again, thank you for your patience and understanding. I am off to see BJ now, and shall leave you with his and my version of the Britney Spears classic, If You Seek Amy, from ATD20 (released this time last year!).
Have a wonderful Friday, wherever you are!
PAX!
I must say, it is very difficult writing one’s first proper Main-Blog post since Friday when one is sworn to secrecy about the events that occurred between now and last Friday that are amazing and exciting and life changing to say the bloody least.
But here we are, Wednesday, February 16th 2011. A big ball of sun (the big ball of sun) is doing battle with a great big grey duvet of cloud that hovers above Hackney Wick like a vast, ominous spacecraft, and I have just realised I need to EAT, as I am shouting at the PC and talking gibberish to my stuffed tiger. Unfortunately, there is little in the house other than a sliver of sticky toffee pudding. Perhaps I should make like Envy in the clip above and skin some oranges.
RO-BOOOOOOOT! What a great song. 20,000 streams in 10 days, including 6000 on Youtube. I have celebrated by upping the awesome clip above, and dropping the lyrics. You’re welcome. And the fortnightly ATD25 leakage continues this Friday with another amazing song, featuring a very special guest (and producer). CAN YOU GUESS WHO IT IS?!
