First single from Bashy’s debut LP, Catch Me If You Can. On initial listen I can’t say I love this song, but I really really really hope the album’s great.

Bashy is a Black Boy, and this song is about money… Asher Roth might have something to say about that.

Damn this video slipped under the radar along with the song’s name change. I guess calling a song ‘Suu Wu’ was asking for trouble. This is a fucking smash record though I don’t give a fuck. Best thing Wu Tang have done in years. YEARS. The video lacks direction, too many lost faces under performing. It will do though.

A week on from his “nappy headed hoes” comments on Twitter, frat-rap poster boy Asher Roth has dropped another Contentious Race Bomb, lashing out at “black rappers” not all being dead prez, or something. NJ.com asked him about that over-worthy A Mili freestyle (see above) he dropped last year, and he had this to say:

“When I dropped that … (I thought) ‘You guys are always going off about how much money you have. Do you realize what’s going on in this world right now?’ All these black rappers ? African rappers ? talking about how much money they have. Do you realize what’s going on in Africa right now? It’s just like, ‘You guys are disgusting. Talking about billions and billions of dollars you have. And spending it frivolously, when you know, the Motherland is suffering beyond belief right now.’”

Rah though, Marvin likes the album!
